E-Learning: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is well connected to the world of knowledge by our prestigious satellite networks. The campus is currently enabled with 2 satellite links - one, ISRO satellite network connecting the four campuses of Amrita University in three states, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Karnataka and two, network connecting around fifty-two highly reputed institutes, across the globe, with Amrita University campuses in India via AMRITA's E-learning setup and ISRO's EDUSAT.
Library:
Amrita University library consists of more than 42,000 books, 798 journals more than 3,000 conference proceedings, monographs, standard and statistical data. Information system is an automated library Information system connected to the LAN for quick interaction with the library irrespective of the place where one is located. Library also subscribes to online journals, a digital library VIDYA also available to enable the students
to make search easy and precise retrieval of information.
Hostel:
Separate hostel facilities are provided for girls and boys. Students are provided with adequate facilities to make them feel at home. Their stay in the hostel enables them to imbibe a different life-style and involve in activities including yoga, meditation, sports, music, etc., suiting individual tastes and preferences.
Medical:
A dispensary with two qualified doctors and a few beds is available. Besides attending to the medical needs of the students, staff and others in the campus, the doctor also carries out routine medical checkup of the students every year. The campus doctors are assisted in this task by specialist doctors from the city.
Sports:
Students are encouraged to participate in sports to ensure overall development of mind and body. Facilities are provided for Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, Track & field events, as well as indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom. A well equipped gymnasium, a swimming pool meeting Olympic standards is also available in the campus.
General:
College buses pick up and drop day- scholars from specified locations in the city and en-route, on payment of a nominal fee. An extension counter of The Dhanalakshmi Bank is functioning in a separate building on all working days. Students can make use of the personal banking facilities at the extension counter. The bank also provides a 24 hour ATM facility. The General store caters to the stationery and other requirements like domestic goods, toiletry, provisions, etc. The store also stocks our math publications, audio/ video cassettes, herbal/ayurvedic products, etc. produced by the Math. Also include a tailoring shop, a men’s hair cutting saloon and STD services. |
