The post-graduate program in Social Work at Amrita University is unique in many ways. The first and primary one is the fact that Mata Amritanandamayi is the beacon for all of its efforts. The program's core agenda is to infuse the students with social commitment by providing them encounters with practical situations during their course work. The two-year course (4 semesters) enables students to imbibe the fundamental principles of social work and practice them in real-life situations. The Social Work program incorporates a methodology through which the students evolve themselves to a new individually committed level and transform the society in which they live.
