Indigenous secure communication network
is a need for a country. Such a network is undoubtedly
an integral part of National Security. With the popularity
of Internet, banking and other commercial industries are
moving over to transactions through the Internet. For
dependable transactions a secure public network is a necessity.
To meet these pressing needs, a strong research backbone
in cryptography is essential. This workshop provides a
platform for all Indian researchers in cryptography and
cryptanalysis to come together. It also encourages young
researchers by giving them an opportunity to present their
work to the cryptographic community for evaluation.
Programme
Topics
covered: Cryptology & Advances in Cryptanalysis.
The program
contains 10 technical sessions in topics such as Algebraic
attacks, Stream Cipher Cryptanalysis and Integer Factorization
to list a few. Eminent National and International personalities
chair each technical session. The International speaker
delivers a one-hour lecture on all these three days. Duration
of each session is 1 hour 30 minutes including a talk
by an eminent personality followed by three paper presentations
of duration 20 minutes each.

About
the Organisers
Amrita
Vishwa Vidyapeetham
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is one of the youngest
and the most dynamic Deemed Universities in India today.
Inspired by the Divine vision of Satguru Mata Amritanandamayi
Devi, known world-wide as Amma, Amrita University is spread
over three campuses in South India, namely Ettimadai,
Kochi and Amritapuri offering programs in varied subjects
as IT, Engineering, Medicine and Management.
Amrita University
is perhaps the only one of its kind in India – a
fully interactive, multi disciplinary, multi media virtual
campus without geographical limitations – enabled
by satellite connectivity.
Amrita Research
Labs (ARL) is the R&D wing of Amrita University focusing
on developing indigenous technology. ARL is also a well-known
contributor to the Open Source movement. ARL has successfully
developed leading edge technologies in computer networks
and information security such as AmritaVPN, Amrita VoIP
and Amrita Safe Lock.
ARL
has also developed complex commercial applications like
Amrita Hospital Information System and AmritaVidya, a
world-class e-learning solution. In addition, ARL has
been recognized by premier national institutions like
BARC, ISRO and Konkan Railway who have entrusted ARL with
several research projects of strategic importance.
Amritapuri
Campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, based in Kerala,
has been taking active interest in carrying out research
in the area of Information Security. Infocrypt 2003, a
3-day national level workshop on Information Security
was successfully hosted by Amritapuri Campus that was
attended by leading scientists, academicians, defense
and industry personnel from across the country.
Cryptology
Research Society of India
The Cryptology Research Society of India was founded in
2001 to support and promote research activities in the
field of cryptology, data security and related areas in
India. It arranges lectures, discussions, workshops, seminars,
conferences etc., for motivating and guiding the young
Indian researchers in the field of cryptology and security.
A national workshop on cryptology and an international
conference on cryptology (INDOCRYPT) are the annual events
being organized by this Society. The present workshop
is the fourth in the series of the national workshops
of the CRSI. For more details on CRSI, contact Professor
