The MBA programme offered at the Amrita School of Business is an autonomous, two year, full-time, residential programme approved and recognized by the AICTE and UGC. It offers a curriculum which blends academic excellence with business relevance. With faculty drawn from the best universities around the world, management education at ASB combines hard core management principles with core values which helps each student tap their inner source and emerge as world class business leaders. The following are the salient features of our programme.

Orientation Programme: ASB offers a compulsory, 3 week orientation programme which helps lay the foundation for the rigorous MBA curriculum. The new batch of students are exposed to the unique way of life in the campus, the academic schedules, hostel, facilities for study, sports, recreation, etc. The programme helps the students to settle down and acquaint themselves with each other.

Teaching Methodology: Learning at ASB is a synergy of unique teaching methodologies comprising of lectures, case discussions, seminars, presentations, group activity, business games, role plays, soft skills training, and field projects. The daily regimen consists of at least three classroom sessions of seventy-five minutes duration, one hour of hands-on experience in the computer centre, and at least two hours of course preparatory work (both individually and in groups)
for every one hour of classroom session, requiring on an average, twelve to fourteen hours of work each day.

Mentorship Programme: All students are assigned to faculty guides who assist, guide and support them in all matters related to their academics and life at ASB. This aids in developing a healthy interchange between faculty and students and ensures the overall wellbeing of each student.

Value Education: ASB believes in imparting an education for life as opposed to an education for a living. As a step in this direction, the course Self Awareness and Personal Growth is an integral part of the curriculum for both years. This course provides an opportunity for holistic learning and moulds managers driven by timeless human values. It also involves the practice of yoga and meditation to help tide over the demands of stress filled corporate life.

Industry Interaction: ASB provides students with regular interface with leading industry professionals through colloquia and workshops which facilitates real time exposure to contemporary corporate practices.

Summer Training Projects: Students are required to undertake a ten-week long summer training project with a company of repute during the summer break between Terms III and IV usually beginning April. Summer placement enables students to get an exposure to organizations, work on field-based projects and apply the concepts and techniques learned from coursework to real life managerial problems. At the end of the project the student writes a report and makes a presentation of the work done under the guidance of a faculty member.
