• Green Friends
  

Our beloved Amma has stressed on many occasions the need to regain a reverent attitude toward Mother Earth. This planet is more than just a lifeless rock floating in the emptiness of space. On the contrary She is a living Being, the source of life itself, and deserves our respect and care. The 'Green Friends' project initiated by Amma in India encourages this very attitude of love and reverence towards Mother Nature.

Green Friends is Amma’s initiative to help us reawaken the awareness of our unity with all creation and to cultivate an attitude of love and reverence for Mother Nature. All living beings emerge from the same Supreme Consciousness. Mother Nature is the manifestation of that Consciousness. Today we ignore this truth and even destroy that which sustains us.

Green Friends is a global grassroot environmental movement that promotes environmental awareness and participation at the individual and community levels in activities aimed at preserving our precious environment.

If we genuinely love and care about nature and the environment and understand that all living beings are not different from, but an integral part of nature, we will naturally become motivated to practice living in sustainable ways and work towards protecting and preserving our environment.



• FLAIR

FLAIR - Forum for Literary and Artistic Interest Revival, an inhouse open forum  proposes to provide a platform for the linguistic, literary and artistic creativity of the students and the staff.  The activities planned include language games, literary and artistic appreciation, quizzes and contests, discussions and deliberations and many more. Its objectives are: To promote a sense of appreciation for art and literature through literary and linguistic activities  To kindle among the interested a sensitivity to the subtleties of language  To touch upon the finer feelings of the inner personalities of the members

• Techno X - IT Club
  

Techno X - is an IT Club under the Department of Computer Science open to the students and the staff of the department. The purpose of the club is to promote and organise activities that help in building confidence in students, to face the new challenges in the real world,to empower staff and students with the knowledge and state-of-the-art skills expected today and in future. The club also aims at providing a platform for younger generation to share their experiences and updates with the peer group. The IT fests like Bitzomania-an Intra College IT fest and amrIT-an Inter college IT fest are the two major annual events under the banner of Techno X. Regular workshops and seminars on current trends in IT helps the students focus on their career path. Techno X encourages and guides our students to get an exposure and experience of participating in various IT events conducted by other institutions.

The Computer Soceity of India is the first and the largest body of computer professionals in India. It provides a platform to exchange latest technologies, views, information and share ideas. The wide spectrum of members is committed to the advancement of the theory and practice of Computer Applications, Technology Systems, Information Processing and related Arts and Sciences. The computer Society of India regularly organizes workshops, seminars conventions, and technical talks for the benefit of professionals and users of IT apart from conducting continuing education and professional development programmes for a focused audience of budding professionals, researchers and students.
Being closely associated with students, the society has developed a well-established network of “ Student Branches” all across the country. The activities conducted for the students associated with the Society include the Lecturemeetings, seminars, conferences, training programmes, programming contests and practical visits to installations. In an ever changing environment, CSI offers professional counseling, a great need of the hour.
